Terms of Use
Plain-language terms for using VoiceNote. Buy it once, use it on your own devices, and it's yours. Here's the fine print, without the fog.
The short version
VoiceNote is a one-time purchase. When you buy it, you get a licence to use it on the number of devices your plan covers, along with every future update. There's a 7-day money-back guarantee. The software is provided as-is, and there are sensible limits on our liability. That's the gist — the detail follows.
Your licence
When you buy VoiceNote, Stipple AI Pty Ltd grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it on the number of devices your plan allows — Solo (1 device), Duo (2 devices) or Family (4 devices). You may use it for personal or work purposes. The licence lasts as long as you comply with these terms.
What you can do
- Use VoiceNote for your own dictation, at home or at work.
- Install it on up to the number of devices your plan covers.
- Receive every future update to the version you bought, at no extra cost.
What you can't do
- Share, resell, sublicense or redistribute your licence key or the app.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the app, except to the limited extent the law allows.
- Use VoiceNote to break the law or infringe someone else's rights.
Payment, updates and the free trial
Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record. Prices are shown at checkout and are one-time — there's no subscription. Every update to the version you bought is included. VoiceNote may offer a free trial; during it you get the full app, and when it ends you'll need a licence to keep dictating.
Refunds
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. If VoiceNote isn't for you, email hello@voicenote.au within seven days of your purchase and we'll refund you through Polar.
The software is provided “as is”
We work hard to make VoiceNote accurate and reliable, but no dictation tool is perfect. VoiceNote is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. You're responsible for reviewing what it writes before you rely on it — especially for legal, medical or other important use.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stipple AI Pty Ltd won't be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of VoiceNote, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes to VoiceNote and these terms
VoiceNote will keep changing as we improve it. We may update these terms from time to time; when we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using VoiceNote after a change, that's your acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of New South Wales — without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
