Features

Everything you need to write with your voice.

Accurate transcription, finished writing, and a system that retrains on you and gets better every day — all running on your own machine. Here's what's under the hood.

How it works

One key. Anywhere you type.

01

Hold Left Ctrl

In any app — your email, a chat, a doc. A little pill appears at the edge of the screen so you know it's listening.

02

Just talk

Say it however it comes out. No commands to learn, no "new paragraph", no tidying up after.

03

Release. It's written.

Let go and clean, finished text appears right where your cursor was — shaped for wherever you're writing.

Accuracy that keeps up

It hears the words you actually say.

Real speech is messy — false starts, jargon, names. VoiceNote's on-device model handles it, and when it doesn't, you fix it once and it never gets it wrong again.

What it does

More than a transcript.

Writes, doesn't just transcribe

Turns rambling speech into clean, finished text — punctuation, paragraphs and all.

Matches the app you're in

A tidy email in Gmail, a quick line in Slack, notes in a doc. It reads the room.

Works fully offline

Airplane mode, a train tunnel, a locked-down laptop — it just keeps working.

A personal dictionary

Names, brands, and jargon you add once are remembered forever.

Nothing to set up

No plugins, no account, no integrations. Download and hold a key.

Your history, your folder

Everything you dictate is stored locally — keep it, export it, or wipe it.

Meeting notes, done locally

Record any meeting and get a You/Others transcript, a summary and action items — no bot on the call.

Reads the room

It matches the app you're writing in.

VoiceNote detects where your cursor is and shapes the writing to fit. The same sentence becomes a polished email in Gmail, a one-liner in Slack, or a clean commit message in your editor.

Slack

Notion
Headings and toggles where they help.

Figma
Concise design-crit language.

New

Meeting notes that never leave your machine.

Press record — in the app, from the tray, or with Alt+Shift+M — and when you stop you get a timestamped transcript labeled You and Others, plus a summary and action items. Because it captures your computer's own audio, it works with any meeting app — Zoom, Teams, Meet, a call through the speakers — and no bot ever joins; the raw audio is deleted once it's transcribed. On Windows today — Mac is coming.

The learning engine

It retrains on you — every day it's sharper.

Most dictation tools re-learn your name every week. VoiceNote treats each correction as a permanent rule — fix "Nguyen" back once after it wrote "Nyugen," and it's yours forever. Spellings first, then phrasing, tone and length.

And because it all lives on your machine, you can see exactly what it's learned, pause it, or wipe it clean anytime.
